History of Mercy Clinic East

Began in the 1920s as the Munn-Farnsworth medical partnership at 19 S. Main St. Founded by Frank Barnett Farnsworth and Wayne A. Munn.
After WWII, name changed to Munn-Koch Clinic.
In 1958, it moved into a newly constructed building at 2020 E. Milwaukee St. and renamed Janesville Medical Center. Doctors associated with the clinic were Vincent W. Koch, Edwin F. McNicholas, Everett W. Reinardy, John J. Tordoff, Jack D. Schroeder, Arthur L. Reinardy, Eugene S. Hartlaub, Eugene H. Betlach, and Lee A. Krystosek. The building included Beverly Pharmacy owned and operated by Leighton C. Norris and Ronald G. Frye. The building also included a dental wing, occupied by Dr. Robert J. Mork.
In 1974, an addition added 7,500 sq. ft. for doctors' office.
In late 1980s, it was outgrowing its land-locked facility, so a new facility was built at 3524 E. Milwaukee St.
Facility purchased by Mercy Health System in 1991 and renamed Mercy Clinic East.
